Wine gets the posters. November is oil. We pick you up in Porto, drive into the valley, and spend the day with three houses you can actually name: a mill in Casal de Loivos, lunch where the new oil of this harvest is on the table, and a comparative tasting at an organic estate on the Tedo.

Casal de Loivos. The mill is a museum now — it worked until 2000 — and that is the point: how oil was made in this valley, family extra virgin, bread, a terrace above the river.
Cantina de Ventozelo
Azeite Novo: the new oil of this harvest, four courses, house wines. We do not add a grove pick. Lunch is the product.

Notes
Vegetarian and vegan: tell us when booking. The 2025 Azeite Novo menu featured bacalhau à lagareiro — 2026 dishes follow the Cantina, not last year’s press.
We only run dates Cantina confirms the new-oil menu. If the menu is not on, we do not run this day as a substitute wine tour.
No Sundays unless opened. Bookings close 48 hours before, or as confirmed. Closed shoes. November weather is mixed — we run unless a house is closed.
