Why this night
Wine first, then the sky
The first and only night-time experience in the Douro Valley, launched in 2019. The afternoon is the river and a Port cellar; the evening is dinner at a quinta; and after dinner we drive up to the hills where the telescope is waiting.

Bookings accepted until 24 hours before the experience.
On a clear summer night you can expect Jupiter and its Galilean moons, Saturn and its rings, Mars, Venus, features of the Moon, passing satellites and the main constellations. What's visible depends on the season and the phase of the moon.
No equipment required, but you're welcome to bring your own (camera, tripod, binoculars, telescope…).
In case of unfavourable weather, we run the Douro Valley day instead.
The private evening includes everything in the semi-private one, with the vehicle to yourselves and a dedicated driver/guide. Additional options are available when you book a private evening.
Want to stay the night in the Douro and carry on the next day, with a transfer back to Porto or elsewhere? ask us about availability.
